Welcome to the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics

We are an international and interdisciplinary research institution that conducts basic research in key areas of modern biology.

At the Max Planck Institute molecular immunologists, developmental geneticists, cell biologists and biochemists have been brought together to investigate the generation and function of the immune system, development of vertebrate embryos, cell signalling and the regulation of gene expression. In addition, Epigenetic research is another focus at the institute.
State-of-the-art technologies and model organisms are used to unravel the mechanisms underlying these biological processes.

2nd Max Planck Freiburg Epigenetics Meeting

Zoom

We are pleased to announce the 2nd Max Planck Freiburg Epigenetics Meeting, which will be held from 5 to 8 December 2012 at the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg.

This conference series was launched in 2010 to celebrate the establishment of the epigenetic focus at our institute and will now take place biennially.  We aim to assemble a group of high-profile speakers who represent a broad range of topics in the field of chromatin and epigenetics and who will share their exciting data and novel ideas.
